The Company:
Our Client is the world leader in the Mining and Minerals / Resource industry. With over 120 years experience in the world's largest resource projects, our Client currently invests over $1bn per month into Australia's rapidly expanding mining market. A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Technical Evaluation expert.

The Role:
CHIEF ADVISOR - WESTERN AUSTRALIA (PERTH) - $ FANTASTIC = EXCELLENT BENEFITS - AUSTRALIAN VISA / RESIDENCY REQUIRED

We are seeking a Chief Advisor to manage the technical evaluation group from their Perth based location. The Chief Advisor will be responsible for:

• Actively support Health, Safety, Environment, and Communities standards.
• Review and report on all project stages including: conceptual, order of magnitude, prefeasibility and feasibility studies.
• Review technical aspects of projects including: mine development and long-term plans, ore reserve calculations and geologic modeling, mining, processing, infrastructure, environmental, social and communities, project execution planning and operational readiness, cost estimation, project risk, and safety and health.
• Influence the development of the current technical standards and processes.
• Communicate complex technical messages to senior business leaders (strong presentation and written communication skills required).
• Lead teams as they travel to interview business unit project sponsors on key project risks and challenges.
• Work flexibly to meet the frequent out of normal office hour requirements of working with a global team and projects.
• At least 15 years relevant experience with mining operations involving a blend of technical and production roles


Naturally a very healthy and competitive salary + benefits package will be offered to the successful person. A degree of domestic and international travel is required (typically 20-30% annually).
