The Role:
• Operate and maintain IT systems for the Bangkok and satellite offices (e.g. Jakarta, Manila and Ulaanbaatar)
• Provide oversight and reporting on IT standards across the Asia-Pacific fleet, including Australia, Singapore (Senoko), Indonesia (Paiton) and Thailand (Glow)
• Provide leadership to set and align regional IT vision and strategy with the region’s overall business goals and objectives
• Report, support and follow-up on IT governance and compliance issues for the region, including internal and external audits, Enterprise Risk Management and security assessments
• Manage the regional IT team to improve sharing and collaboration, to ensure greater co-ordination of regional IT resources to aid the identification and implementation of synergies
• Manage the regional IT teams, including implementation of the Enterprise Project, to improve sharing and collaboration, to ensure greater co-ordination of regional IT resources to aid the identification and implementation of synergies
• Challenge the regional business to leverage IT effectively and efficiently through improved business processes, timely access to business-critical information and regional knowledge
• Co-ordinate regional IT activities, governance and spend, work with senior business leaders to agree on priorities and budget rationale
• Define, document and successfully complete projects, directing and supporting project team members
• Co-ordinate support, maintenance and development of application systems, including business intelligence
• Co-ordinate the support, maintenance and development of underlying applications systems infrastructure to meet normal operations and business continuity / disaster recovery requirements
• Provide an appropriate and secure information environment and infrastructure for regional data and systems
• Ensure appropriate IT due diligence on new business applications and infrastructure, and deliver projects within agreed timescales and budget
• Ensure compliance of IT systems and processes with applicable statutory regulations and internal controls/audit
• Ensure that the implementation of procurement strategies and evaluation criteria are in line with procurement legislation and local policy

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Proven successful leadership experience, particularly in establishing functional, virtual and geographically-distributed teams
• Proven change management experience with the ability to successfully influence change programmes
• Career to date to include significant experience, knowledge and management oversight in the areas of software application design & development, configuration & support, infrastructure management
• Design, configuration, development & support of: IT Security/Cyber Security, Data Centre Operations and 24x7x365 support, Network Management, Governance, Strategic Planning and Advanced Technologies
• Proven successful IT management experience in a corporate environment, preferably in the energy industry

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Strong people leadership with a proven record of team building as well as motivating and mentoring people
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and to present complex topics to fit the audience
• Strong leader in a crisis or emergency situation
• Leader/team player comfortable working within a matrix management environment
• Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement with a desire to keep knowledge current
• Collaborative and open in style, with sound and balanced judgement
• Change management expertise
• Budget management expertise – an astute business leader to manage the IT budget while understanding the Company performance; monitor IT performance against the budget and ensure budget compliance
• Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and key vendor product strategies
• Demonstrated skill in strategic and critical thinking, negotiation and relationship building
• Ability to challenge the status quo
