The Company:
Our client is an international mining company currently operating two Gold mines. They are a medium sized operator using the advanced gold processing technology to treat a complex copper-gold porphyry ore deposit. This role is a overseas opportunity based on a rotation.

The Role:
The Chief Metallurgist (CM), who will report to the Director of Operations, will be responsible for all metallurgical operations in the company, including heap leaching, the agitation leach plant, the ADR plant and the SART plant. He will also be required to supervise R&D work in support of the operations. His duties will include:

• Supervision of key staff reporting directly to the CM and provision of technical and operational advice and directives to the key staff.
• Providing technical directives and advice at all levels of operations.
• Monitoring and evaluation of KPIs in all areas of responsibility and providing guidance and directives for improving operational performance,
• Providing directives and guidance to ensure a safe and accident free work place,

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
• University degree in metallurgy, chemical engineering, or other relevant discipline. Research degree an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years practical experience in gold plant operations, with at least 5 years at supervisory level.
• Working experience in developing economies.
• Fluent in English language, speaking Russian a plus.
