We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Concrete Inspector to join our Client's existing successful QA / QC team on Barrow Island. The role will see the successful individual work a 20/10 roster. Let's have a look at what the role will be doing:

The job

• Promote safety awareness Incident Injury Free (IIF) and safe performance at all times.
• Assist with the coordination of daily inspection requirements across the BWI site.
• Inspection of works in progress to ensure compliance with project specified requirements, work method statements.
• Ensure effective implementation of ITP’s & FIC’s by the Contractor and Client attendance at Witness and Hold points.
• Regular review of quality records and Test Lab Reports.
• Monitor concrete test regimes at testing laboratories.
• Monitoring progressive stages of underground services.
• Monitoring to ensure timely mark-up of As-built drawings and progressive compilation of MDR’s in accordance with index.
• Assisting with timely resolution and follow up of Non-Conformance reports (NCR’s) and Concession Request’s (CR’s).

Essential requirements for this role are:

• Strong experience in routine inspection surveillance of Civil & concreting activities, both in the placement of large pre-cast concrete structures and in-situ pouring.
• Familiar with continuous pour techniques around large LNG concrete encased tanks from working on previous LNG projects.
• Familiar with back fill and compaction around concrete structures and electrical & piping service trenches.
• Good understanding of QA/QC requirements for final documentation on oil & gas construction projects.
• Basic computing skills and working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel.
