The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Provide Civil & Structural engineering support for Production, Maintenance, Reliability and PID departments, addressing existing equipment issues and fresh equipment design to optimize efficiency, safety, quality and cost effectiveness.
1. Responsible for Civil & Structural engineering support for maintenance, reliability and operation of C&S Equipment.
2. Lead Civil & Structural discipline related maintenance of standards and specifications.
3. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publication; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
4. Manage Civil & Structural discipline related training program for discipline engineers.
5. Organize and provide training sessions for discipline engineers, operators and technicians for better understanding and appreciation of system reliability and proper use and operation of Civil & Structural equipment.
6. Coordinate and participate in site Civil & Structural Safety and Reliability Audits. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and adopt Safety Loss Prevention principles.
7. Support:
• Production department
-Provide advanced Civil & Structural engineering support.
• Maintenance department
-Provide advanced Civil & Structural engineering support on maintenance projects and repairs.
-Provide advanced technical assistance and resolution/troubleshooting support.
-Evaluate repair proposals of critical equipment for sound Civil & Structural engineering practice, conform to established safety and design criteria, and recommend approval or disapproval.
-Organize fit-for-service evaluations of new and repaired Civil & Structural equipment.
• Reliability department
-Provide advanced technical assistance and resolution/troubleshooting support in RCI.
-Lead review of the PPM program for maintenance goal alignment.
• PID department
-Provide advanced Civil & Structural engineering field support on construction projects.
-Lead support efforts for PID department in the preparation of project cost and work estimates, development of scope and material take-offs to support project estimates. Assist with advanced analysis tasks to determine estimates of man-hours, materials and resources needed for successful and timely completion of project requirements.
-Lead fit-for-service evaluations of new Civil & Structural equipment.
• Procurement department
-Lead evaluation efforts of vendors and service providers.
8. Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
9. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
10. Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment or labor to determine project feasibility.
11. Test soils or materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel.
12. Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
13. Participate in surveying to layout installations or establish reference points, grades, or elevations to guide construction.
14. Ensure that environmental regulations and Safety and Loss Prevention principles are considered in the design.
15. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/superintendent.
