The Role:
The primary objective of this role is to coordinate and review the Civil work by EPCM and to develop an integrated, operable and economic Commercial Nickel Processing Plant. Specifically, the incumbent will oversee Civil work in the design and construction phases.

Accountabilities:
- Review/manage EPCM with respect to production of civil design briefs, engineering drawings, specifications, datasheets, etc.
- Review EPCM engineering deliverables plan and man hours against proposal targets for Civil work.
- Evaluating and reporting on engineering quality and progress for Civil work.
- Evaluate EPCM discipline engineers with respect to experience and ability in designated role.
- Intermittent travel required for evaluation of engineering progress at any alternate site.
- Interface with Operations on design/operational issues to feed back to EPCM.
- Interface closely with Plant Project Engineer(s) and Process Engineer(s) to coordinate plant civil design.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Post secondary degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Experience:
- 5 - 10 years within a related Engineering role and environment.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of design/construction of refining and /or heavy industrial mineral processing facilities technical knowledge of the mining business value chain and a solid understanding of key functional departments, key business processes and work flows.
