The Role:
Reporting to the Technical & Quality Manager, the Civil QC Lead will be a team member for the development of project quality team and ensure that preparation of all project quality requirements are implemented and managed.

Specific Responsibilities:
•Implement and manage SSHE requirements and issues within Civil QC group.
•Transfer technology and practical experience to the QC group from other GBS projects
•Lead/supervise the Civil QC group
•Train, mentor, develop, and motivate QC inspectors
•Ensure quality requirements are known, understood, and followed within area of responsibility
•Ensure that project quality requirements are implemented and managed
•Evaluate material and test results on a continuous basis and advise construction on production improvement
•Provide quality reporting as required
•Together with QC inspectors/personnel prepare and implement procedures and plans
•Monitor that inspections and tests are being performed and reported
•Identify critical quality issues in a proactive manner to facilitate improvements
•Ensure good customer relations, both internal and external
•Assist production team with quality and performance matters
•Assure fabrication records from inspections and tests are being prepared and verified
•Report non-conforming products and assist in corrective actions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements:
•Diploma in a related field or combination of related work experience and training, preferably within marine concrete construction.
•Minimum 3-5 years’ experience from offshore concrete GBS and oil & gas projects
•Minimum 3-5 years’ experience from performance of civil QC work within GBS construction
•Experience managing and running a site QC team with a heavy work load
•Experience making and presenting documentation of civil works for offshore structures
•Experience in leading and training staff
•Knowledge of GBS construction and project execution methods is essential.
•Candidates must have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an integrated project team.
