Job Title: Civil Site Manager
Job Location: Chester
Rate/Salary: £300pd (Ltd) to £350pd (Ltd) p
Duration: 12 months +
Residency: uk

The Role:
Working closely with the Civil Construction Manager to ensure the business and project standards:

•Ensure that all works are delivered safely and without environmental incidents.
•Implement project plans, risk assessments, method statements and site waste management plans
•Full Quality Assurance Role including coordination with Client Representative so as to ensure timely sign off of all works.
•Review and understand client and designer specifications, raise queries and ensure compliance throughout the project execution.
•Ensuring the adherence to the relevant codes of practice for UK civil works and buildings.
•Site based role ensuring the civil works are undertaken in accordance with the relevant Client and Design specifications.
•Responsible for the day-to-day site technical queries, any minor design changes, site inspections and test plans, including the preparation of any remedial works lists and their successful remediation.
•Record all site activities and work closely with the quantity surveyor on all commercial matters.
•Support the commercial team for the purpose of subcontractor payments and in the resolution of all contractual matters.
•Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed.
•Ensure that all interfaces regarding civil and structural design are managed in a timely manner.
•Handling of contract correspondence and responsible for the independent resolution of site related issues.
•Providing programme updates and progress reporting to the project management team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Main civil engineering contractor environment.
•Extensive experience of managing project within a civils environment.
•Educated as a minimum to HNC/HND level in Civil Engineering.
•Experience of reinforced concrete structures, roadworks, drainage, erection of steel framed clad buildings essential.
•Strong supervisory skills but also able to display excellent team working skills.
•CSCS card holder at Manager / Professional level.
•NEBOSH construction certificate desirable.
•MS Office proficiency.
