The Company:
Our Client is a focused supplier of high-value consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world’s energy, power and process industries. The Role:
• Prepare studies and design/drafting/CAD work, on the project to which assigned.
• To ensure effective and consistent production of drafting deliverables in accordance with engineering specifications and designs.
• Assist the Lead Engineer in preparing and updating the detailed programme for performance of structural work to meet overall project requirements.
• Assist the Lead Engineer in the preparation of Project Control reports.
• Inform Lead Engineer of all CAD hardware/software for project needs.
• Advise Discipline Manager of project CAD developments that will have corporate benefits.
• Support the maintenance and update of civil material database.
• Preparation of general arrangements and detail drawings and relevant material schedules.
• Production of all drawings in accordance with corporate and project procedures.
• Preparation of Material Take Off documents and schedules.
• Support site meetings and undertake site surveys.
• Assist the Lead Engineer in the multi-discipline co-ordination of the project.
• Ensure all corporate and project procedures are applied to the drafting work.
• Maintain interface with the CAD development group to maximise effectiveness of CAD work on the project.
• To read, understand and implement the Company Safety Policy and the arrangements described in the Company and area Safety Management System documents.

Reports corporately to the Civil/ Structural Discipline Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A highly experienced designer preferably qualified to HNC level.
• Proficient in drafting practice, including CAD and preferably PDMS (although not essential), with a background in industrial, process and petrochemical engineering.
