The Company:
Our clients nuclear business has been operating for over 40 years, and today they are leading the renaissance in nuclear power. They have operations based in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and North America, and are fully engaged on the development of the next generation of nuclear power stations. Alongside their new build expertise, they maintain existing nuclear fleet and decommission those coming to the end of their life.

The Role:
It is an exciting time for our client, and as a result, they are looking for Civil Structural Engineers with relevant experience with a flair for technical delivery to join their growing nuclear civil & structural team based West Cumbria.

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects in the nuclear industry.

To provide technical input into the delivery of projects from inception to handover on time and cost.
To support client management through involvement in bidding and winning projects.
To assist is the successful delivery of projects
Liaise with and support other projects within the Cumbria office, and also across the wider UK home and international markets.

Additional Information
Travel to other company sites may be necessary.
Although our positions are full-time, there may be flexibility in working hours for the right candidates.
This is an exciting time for our client, they are diversifying their portfolio to become a more global organisation, while also continuing to grow their Energy sector in the UK.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline (Masters level preferred)
Good standard of written English
An acceptable level of previous engineering experience including design.
Experience of highly regulated UK industries would be beneficial plus an understanding of relevant legislative standards.
You will be driven to meet targets, and have a high level of commercial awareness and will have demonstrated the ability to work within budget and programme.

Skilled at collaborative working, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively.
Customer focused and a high level of relationship management skills
Flexible and prepared to take on new challenges

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Successful candidates may be required to undergo a security vetting process and offers of employment will be subject to relevant security clearance being granted. SC level security clearance will be required to commence work.
