The Company:
Our client, a major oil and gas operator, is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer for one of their major capital projects.

The Role:
As a member of the Houston based Downstream Engineering Team, this position will support the downstream Engineering, Module Delivery, Logistics & Transport, and Site Construction teams through Phase 4. Position will serve as a Company representative in the EPC Contractor's office and will be a member of a multi-functional project team responsible design, fabrication, and transport of approximately 160 modules totalling about 120,000 tonnes. Heaviest module is about 4900 tonnes.

Position will to provide overall leadership for:
• 3D model reviews of modules for lay-out
• Constructability & access compliance
• Support transport planning & specifications (SPMT and marine)

Review work done by the contractor. Identify key issues/risks and involve Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed. Coordinate the efforts of the SMEs. Develop risk mitigation plans. Review specification, etc. Commits to and champions the development and implementation of a safe working environment for everyone on the project and the continuing establishment of an incident and injury free culture.

Technical experience with design and fabrication of welded steel structures (land or platform decks). Structural or piping engineering background is beneficial. Ability to use Intergraph SmartPlant 3D CAD station is a plus. Familiar with industry and Company standards, specifications, and guidelines for structural or piping design, and marine transport. Experienced in field engineering for fabrication yards or land construction sites, including structural and piping welding, rigging, coating, and NDT. Effectively work as a member of multi-functional Asset Team and develop positive relationships with the EPC Contractor and fabrication yards. Strong interpersonal communications within the multi cultural, team environment. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
