The Company:
Our Client is one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies. The Role:
• To assist with the supervision of all Civil Engineering contractors.
• Major issues will be: the construction of roads ; foundations ; infrastructure, buildings and underground services.
• Support the Civil Superintendent with the Management of the Technical and Contractual relationship with the Principal Contractor related to all aspects of civil works, including earth works, underground services, construction of roads, foundations, and all Plant buildings
• Assist in ensuring technical compliance of the Works to the contractual specifications and Scope of Work and with the company General Specifications.
• Ensure that safety, quality, good engineering practice, planning and cost are a permanent concern.
• Preparing and assisting the QS and Civil superintendent with information to substantiate Principal contractor’s valuations.
• Maintain good relationships with Contractors, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project.
• Liaise with Other disciplines, Safety, Cost, Planning and Administration sections to regarding effectiveness of the overall Team.
• Provide regular updates to Civil Superintendent regarding Safety, Technical Compliance, Progress and Cost, including agreed variations and highlight any areas of concern
• Oversee and review all required Procedures and ensure that on site testing is carried out in accordance with the Conditions of Contract.
• Prepare and assist in regular assessments of Contractors progress against planned schedule.
• Develop and maintain systems for ensuring dimensional control and accuracy for key aspects of the construction.

Rotation 2 weeks on / 1 week off schedule on a permanent night shift basis.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Educated to ONC/ HNC level and/or suitable similar experience.
• Preferably a registered Member of the Inst.Civ. Eng.
• Previous experience of large scale Projects and the Construction of roads, drains, and retaining structures.
• Experience of forms of Contracts.
• Ability to represent the Company and both lead and work as part of a multi disciple team.
• Good IT and reporting skills.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to working practices on a remote Construction Site.
• Willingness to undertake business travel as required.
• Must hold full licence that permits driving in the UK.
• Valid medical acceptable to Company Standards.
