The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
Based in London, with the possibility of infrequent business trips to Iraq, this position involves working on a super-giant oil field.

Member of the Integrated Project Management Team technical authorities, providing discipline expertise to the project in the area of Civil and Structural and related issues.
They will provide the following:
• Assurance and Governance of Discipline technical requirements for the project
• Advise on, review, and approve contractor documents including drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, and construction contractors’ scopes of work
• Advise on use of codes and standards
• Engage with Operations Teams, Contractors and specialist suppliers in the identification and resolution of Brownfield issues
• Provide input to project teams regarding civil safety matters, including previous lessons learned
• Provide input to Estimating, Subcontracts and Planning groups
• Report to IPMT on contractor performance
• Participate in safety reviews as required (HAZOP, HAZID, PHASSER, MAR) in accordance with client's Group Defined Practices

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Significant design experience on multi-discipline projects within the hydrocarbon industry
• Wide range of experience regarding civil sub-disciplines including geotechnical and earthworks, foundation works, concrete works, structural steelwork including modularised structures, and building works
• A thorough understanding of the specialist area / discipline
• An excellent track record of delivering project safety and risk scope in terms of priorities and schedule requirements
• A full range of effective communication skills, including:
• Persuasive language skills
• Presentation methods to maintain effective relations within the project teams
• Effective and clear report writing
• Excellent time management skills
• Able to operate in a multi-site and multi-cultural environment
• Degree Qualified in discipline relating to area of expertise
• Further professional qualifications such as registered or chartered engineer
• Experience of working in a multi-cultural, multi-disci
