The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a Civils Inspector (concrete Batch Plant) for a long term contract with an Oil & Gas operator within Kazakhstan

Rotation: 28/28
Location: Prova
Flights/Accommodation - Provided
Day Rate: TBC
This role is open for Expat & National Applicants

Position Summary

Civils Inspector - Concrete Batch Plant is actively involved in construction activities to ensure constructed facilities are built correctly per TSID, operability is retained, safety issues are addressed, and SIMOPS and transition plans are implemented per design.

Construction Phase
1. Primary responsibility is to conduct inspections of in-process and completed civils & associated works, including concrete production, placement and testing, to ensure compliance with project design specifications and drawings in a timely manner.
2. Ensure timely completion of Construction check-lists and forward to Document Control group for compilation into System Dossiers in an expeditious manner. Ensure QVD completeness and correctness for turnover.
3. Closely monitor contractor performance and review of documentation & test results as work progresses.
4. Maintain daily records of site activities by contractors.
5. Perform walk-downs and document results to ensure compliance with project specifications and procedures.
6. Prepare Surveillance Reports & NCRs to identify and gain resolution of discrepancies observed during the construction phase.
7. Work closely with Construction Supervision and other Inspectors daily to complete inspections and ensure completion of required documentation.
8. Review & assess the accuracy of site red line mark-ups prior to as-builts in collaboration with field engineering.
9. Work with design engineering contractor regarding constructability issues
10. Review and sign Position Description, and participate in weekly team meetings to review progress and status of Quality and Project initiatives.
11. Play active role in project safety culture including participation in weekly Safety Audits as requested.
12. Make safety a natural part of all work performed.
13. Ensure good housekeeping at all times and timely completion of actions to resolve safety issues.
14. Employ Operational Excellence and Quality Team Values to achieve continuous improvement and performance excellence.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified, preferably Civil Engineering.
Min. 10yrs civil construction experience incl. 2yrs concrete production,
4yrs on major projects & 3yrs QC.
