The Role:
• Promoting project HSE objectives.
• Review of AFC design documents.
• Review and report on piling activities, concrete foundations, reinforcement steel design, concrete mix, concrete pours, structural steel, pipe rack and tank construction, vessel installation and any other task relating to structural works on site
• Ensure all civil works comply with the project QA/QC procedures
• Participate in task risk assessment meetings.
• Responding to civil engineering site queries, where applicable.
• Expediting site query response from design office for all civil construction works
• Providing civil engineering assistance to the construction contractor for resolution of issues
• Witnessing and approving site acceptance tests.
• Sign off ITP and hold points
• Review of contractor civil engineering procedures
• Monitor contractor performance and highlight any concerns to line manager.
• Ensure contractor is using correct plant and equipment in accordance with BP directives
• Attending project meetings as required.
• Compilation of reports as required.
• Produce Red Line drawings / As builts
• Monitor discipline specific civil engineering construction activities on site to ensure compliance with Project design, International Codes and specifications.
