The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 30 Countries worldwide.In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Construction Stage.

The Role:
Our Client is looking for a Claims Manager to work in Darwin for a 3 year, fixed-term employee contract.

Reporting to the Onshore Director, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Assist with claims avoidance and commercial risk management
• Support Onshore Team in managing claims
• Support Legal Team in managing disputes and legal proceedings
• Schedule and minute all Onshore Steering Group meetings & related meetings
• Work closely with Onshore Project Controls and Legal with respect to strategy and management of claims and counter-claims
• Represent Company in negotiation meetings with Contractor
• Coordinate Onshore personnel responsible for the evaluation, recommendation, negotiation and settlement of various contractual claims and counter-claims

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of 20 years Contracts experience, of which minimum 10 years Construction Claims Management experience
• Appropriate technical degree and/or equivalent experience
• Beneficial Professional qualification(s) – qualifications in engineering, quantity surveying, programming, law
• Advanced emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills essential
• LNG mega-project experience preferred
• Experience in managing EPC contracts preferred
• Experience in litigation and arbitration support essential
• Working knowledge of engineering and services/consultancy practices
• Ability to read and understand planning analysis (eg Primavera P6)
• Extensive Major Project Change / Claims experience – especially scope change / growth, programme movement, delays and disruption, productivity issues, acceleration, extension of time, global claims
