The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Colour and Materials Designer. The position is required to own a series of projects on the creation team. This envolves: delivering trend and material research, proposals for themes for the vehicles, mood boards delivering ideas on models, developing materials with all materials suppliers, delivering the intent for the program and materials to a feasible level. Must be able to use photoshop and have strong illustrative skills

Essential Experience & Qualifications:
The position is expected to work with other designers ,studio staff, modellers and craftspeople to produce innovative design solutions. Additionally, it is a requirement to have good aesthetic judgement and an ability to be in tune with design trends, fashion and social trends. An appreciation of form and shape and its effect on surface appearance is essential
The position requires an enthusiastic self-motivated team player who is flexible in their approach to work and has the necessary drive to see tasks through to completion. This role requires a well organised, creative individual who is capable of expressing his/her opinion in a professional manner. Experience required: - To have a Drivers Licence - Knowledge of materials (automotive preferred but not essential) - 8 years plus Experience within a design environment preferred, not necessarily automotive. - Must be proficient in photoshop. - To be able to make design presentations to a wide audience. - An ability to liase with people in all departments. - Good colour vision and colour perception.
Graduate in a Design discipline with good 3D illustration skills
