The Company:
A Global Supplier of Gas & Gas Products, supporting a wide range of clients & industry. Due to an increase in demand for skilled engineers we have the below requirement.

The Role:
The position is to assist the client in New Caledonia at a New Nickel plant, a person with mining environment might be of advantage.
The incumbent would, if possible, be able to communicate in French to the plant and engineering staff but this is not a show stopper.
Tasks would be to assist with day to day operations, start up and shutdowns, assist with maintenance plans for the plant. Have a working knowledge of liquid and gaseous Oxygen and associated cleanliness with this product. Working site but still in construction, assisting with shifts and trip outs. Site includes a power station (Nitrogen/Oxygen) A commissioning engineer would be a good fit.

A Start Up Engineer is responsible for the Commissioning of Client plants principally within India, Europe, the Middle East and Africa but with some potential for involvement further afield as part of the Global Organisation The plants will range between small and large, Cryogenic Air Separation and steam Methane Reformer plants. These plants may be owned by the Client as part of their Global Operating Group or may be Turnkey sales to Third Party Customers. As experience dictates, the Start Up engineer will be expected to manage the day to day responsibility for pre-commissioning, commissioning and plant start-up through to performance test and local operator training. To work within the Client Engineering offices during periods of low, on-site commissioning commitments. Activities during this period may include – Flow sheet development Manual and procedure preparation Assistance to European Operations on going Productivity Projects The Start Up engineer will refer back to the Start Up Manager or the Project Manager on project specific issues or any commissioning or safety related issues. Minimum 5 years site experience working in chemical, petrochemical or related process industries. Start-up, commissioning or plant operating experience an advantage Cryogenic Air Separation and Flammable gas plant experience preferred Passport, internationally mobile. Flexible attitude to travel, sometimes at short notice and be prepared for extended periods away from home Good command of the English language. Written and spoken Plant commissioning can be challenging as schedules are often tight. There can be a lot of pressure on the commissioning team to get the plant on-stream and supply of gas and liquid products established to the customer.
• Deliver World Class safety performance o Employees - 0 LTI’s, 0 recordable frequency o Maintain BSP requirements and keep BSP book updated ? 1 APT per every 1 week on site minimum for all Start Up employees ? 100% Passport compliance for all employees
• Meet project commitments o Execute projects to set budget and schedule o Manage both budget and schedule with Project Managers o Provide daily reports when on site
• Improve overall productivity o Propose Best Practices to be shared globally o Provide feedback to the Engineering organization o Propose Value Improvement Ideas o Maintain a delay and inefficiency log for all projects
