The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Commercial Advisor to join the team which is based in the heart of the CBD.

Reporting to a Senior Commercial Advisor, you will be accountable for supporting management decision-making through the provision of commercial analysis and advice and effective negotiation of commercial agreements.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following areas:

• Commercial – providing sound commercial advice to the Project (and other ventures when required), and assisting more senior members of staff in daily dealing with a wide variety of commercial matters as they arise;
• Negotiation – leading or supporting activities in preparation for contract negotiations, and developing strategies to deliver technical and commercial solutions, as well as participating and sometimes deputising for more senior staff in commercial negotiations (when required and under adequate supervision);
• Economics – showing proficiency in project economics, KPIs, economic modelling; and ability to create economic models and effectively liaise with the economics department;
• Strategic Planning – assisting in identifying business opportunities, research alternatives and solving commercial issues as they arise;
• Project Management – developing, implementing and monitoring commercial procedures and systems critical to the timely and cost effective delivery of commercial outcomes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate the following:

• A degree qualified in Business, Economics or relevant discipline
• Substantial experience in a similar or relevant role within the oil and gas industry.
• You will also possess proficiency in complex contract negotiations and Excel/economic modelling, as well as a good knowledge of joint ventures and corporate agreements in general.
• The ability to work and deliver under pressure on several simultaneous tasks is essential to the role.
