The Company:
Our client is a Joint Venture between Major international Oil & Gas Operators

The Role:
The Role:

• Provide professional commercial expertise to support the Company in relation to its interface with the Project.
• Manage and support all commercial aspects of the company interface with the development of the Project.
• Take the commercial lead for company and supports in acknowledgement of the fact we will lead the negotiation of all commercial contracts
• Advise on and support commercial related issues for all technical, legal and other functional interfaces with the Project
• Provide support as requested by the Company for all commercial aspects of the various interfaces with the Project.

Responsibilities and Duties :

• Reports directly to the Terminal Interface Manager. The Commercial Adviser will act in a support capacity to the Terminal Interface Manager on all commercial issues relating to company and the various interfaces with the project
• Coordinating development of the company commercial agreements with the Project, including Energy (Heat and Power) Supply Heat Supply Agreement, Land Agreement(s), Site Services Agreements etc. as applicable.
• Ensuring the provision of effective commercial and legal interaction and engagement to company, acting as focal point for commercial and legal reviews, advice and controls activities to ensure work is adequately prioritised, planned and executed and that objectives are met.
• Provides clarification of, and guidance, in response to related commercial queries, and provides commercial support on engineering activities related to the Project.
• Provides commercial support to legal activities related to the Project
• Provides commercial support to financial activities related to the Project
• Acts as the focal point for all commercial issues, and co-ordinates appropriate and timely review of documents submitted by and advises the Terminal Interface Manager accordingly.
• Liaises with the Project Team to ensure that all commercial related issues are dealt with as required and in a timely manner.
• Attends all Project related commercial internal Project reviews
• Attends all external reviews when appropriate and invited.
• Proactively involved in identifying and resolving potential commercial interface issues and advising the Terminal Interface Manager on possible solutions.
• Responsible for the support of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to the role of Commercial Adviser.
• In conjunction with Terminal Interface Manager, collaborate and build effective working relationships with key stakeholders and business partners across the business, influencing and negotiating with such parties as required.
• Engage in dialogue to understand the requirements and expectations of those in Senior Management Team in the terminal
• Contributing to monthly, quarterly and annual reports on costs and progress as requested by Terminal Interface Manager.

Interactions :

• Daily contact with the Terminal Interface Manager and other members of the interface team and the wider teams as required.
• External contacts with Project Team and related third parties.
• External contacts with external commercial advisers

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree level qualification in Engineering or Finance
• Extensive, commercial experience in the power or oil and gas industry, ideally with a knowledge of CHP projects and/or LNG terminals
• Engineering experience in the power or oil and gas industry would be a helpful additional skill set.
• Knowledge of UK tax and regulatory requirements such as competition law and gas regulation.
• Knowledge and experience of all facets of the commercial contract negotiations from IPA, or Term Sheet stage to execution of fully terms agreements.
• Knowledge and experience of JV would be an advantage.
• IT literate and fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work in a Team as both a leader and player and open to new ideas.
• English speaker, excellent oral and written communication skills.
