The Company:
A multinational utility company its principal activity is the supply of electricity and gas to businesses and consumers in the United Kingdom and North America. It is the largest supplier of gas to domestic customers in the UK, and one of the largest suppliers of electricity. It is also active in the exploration and production of natural gas; electricity generation; and the provision of household services including plumbing.

The Role:
The Commercial Advisor supports the Commercial Manager in ensuring the financial health of the company by managing and coordinating CE E&P NL commercial activities. The role holder supports the Commercial Manager in business development activities, commercial activity, analysis, partner relations, and interfacing with the project group on capital projects, in line with CE E&P business and commercial strategy and policies. A key responsibility will be to support the Commercial Manager in respect of pursuing growth opportunities in The Netherlands, including seeking senior management approvals and working with the Commercial and Business Development CE E&P UK-NL teams to deliver these opportunities. This needs to be done in compliance with all relevant agreements, contracts, legislative requirements, and existing procedures and standards, including HSEQ. The scope of the Netherlands role will cover a number of operated and non-operated assets in NL and UK.

1. CE E&P UK-NL Commercial Strategy and Policy
Work with the Commercial Manager to shape CE E&P Netherlands commercial strategy and policy and providing commercial advice and insight. Ensure that CE E&P Netherlands commercial strategies and policies are aligned with those of the CE E&P and in particular the UK-NL region.
2. Commercial Agreements / Arrangements
Supports the Commercial Manager on existing commercial agreements and arrangements for The Netherlands assets and the resolution of any disputes. Supports the Commercial Manager on developing all new agreements and coordinating legal input, act as primary interface with CE
E&P Legal. Lead the commercial aspects of host platform/infrastructure agreements including performance and resolving issues.
3. Joint Ventures
Proving support for partner relationships management for operated Assets, including support for partner meetings and partner requirements/reporting, developing partner budgets, coordinating financial issues with partners and manage AFEs. Providing support to the Commercial Manager on all aspects of non- operated joint ventures.
4. Business Development
Identify, screen and execute on business development opportunities through active networking with internal and external business development environments including other E&P players and advisors. Work with the CE E&P UK-NL Business Development Manager in identifying and maturing business development opportunities for The Netherlands asset area.
Participate Operating / Shareholder Committee meetings and represent CEU NL interests. Advise decision-making authorities and promote the company’s point of view at relevant industry, government and advisory meetings. Actively participate in industry working groups. Demonstrate personal expertise and reflect CEU NL’s credibility and thought leadership on specific issues.
