The Company:
Our Client’s engineering division, has been a leader in the design of drilling facilities for offshore platforms worldwide for over 30 years. The company’s 700-strong workforce provides a range of engineering services from pre-project and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) through detail design, construction support, hook-up and commissioning.

The Role:
The Commercial Analyst - will initially support the Commercial Manager on all contract related activities including servicing the requirements of existing contracts, administering contract amendments, monitoring financial performance of contracts and assisting in tendering activity including involvement in negotiating terms and conditions and the costing/pricing of new work. They will also be expected to administer subcontracts and other minor contracts.
The role is also intended to develop to offer project related experience where the successful candidate will work as part of the project team on one or more global contracts offering and supporting the project manager in the delivery of the project. This will entail ensuring the project is managed and delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, managing project change, ensuring compliance with global commercial procedures, contract administration and protecting the company’s commercial interests by monitoring and managing risks and ensuring profit opportunities are maximised.
This role may involve travel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills: -
(a) Ability to develop constructive working relationships with a wide range of people;
(b) Pro-activity and drive to deliver results;
(c) Attention to detail;
(d) Ability to work comfortably with numerical and verbal information.

Experience: -
1 – 2 years relevant experience within the oil & gas industry is preferable, however high caliber graduates with relevant degree qualifications (below) will also be considered.

Qualifications: -
As a minimum a Business / Management / Legal / QS or similar degree qualification
