The Company:
Our client is a specialist within the Transmission and Distribution Industry who are looking to recruit a Commercial Business Manager

The Role:
As a Commercial Business Manager your main accountabilities will include:
• To lead on a comprehensive commercial growth strategy whilst ensuring the growth is sustainable and customer excellence is not put at risk
• Responsible for managing the business cost base and revenue growth compared to the business plan ensuring the business controls it’s costs, remains profitable and is sustainable over the long term
• Responsible for the development, management and agreement of customer contract terms ensuring liabilities are effectively reviewed and controlled and all contractual obligations are understood and controlled to minimise business risk
• Responsible for developing and implementing the business pricing structures providing customers with value for money whilst taking into account commercial competitor pricing and optimal margin realisation for the business
• Responsible for commercial analysis on acceptability or rejection of construction and maintenance projects
• Bid management responsibility for all customer tenders, ensuring the design and estimation of bids are clear and specific to customer needs increasing our competitiveness in the market
• To produce monthly business management reports including recommendations for continuous business improvement and corrective actions based on analysis of the key strengths weakness, opportunities and threats to the business
• Negotiate and develop supplier contracts ensuring that best purchasing practice and value for money is achieved whilst retaining business operating efficiency and flexibility including potential for partnership arrangements
• To be the business expert on the Competition Act minimising business risks, to communicate all legislative changes to ensure the business remains compliant

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Commercial Business Manager you will have:
• Proven commercial experience
• Experience of developing new commercial offerings for customers
• Experience of design and estimating
• Knowledge of high voltage construction assets and procedures
• People management experience
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent numerical skills combined with analytical reasoning abilities
• Results focussed with proven experiencing in delivering results
