The Company:
My client supplies gas and electricity to UK residential and business customers, provides central heating and gas appliance installation and maintenance and low-carbon and energy efficient products and services.

The Role:
My client is a small cross-functional team including digital industry experts working largely autonomously in a dedicated office in central London using lean startup methodologies.

This means they can move really fast – they launched their first service to market just three months after going live and they are constantly learning and iterating the services. Typically they updated the service at least once every week. Although its early days for them, their vision for Local Heroes is huge. They want to be the go to service for all consumers who need any form of help in their home, from plumbing repairs to home improvements and perhaps even domestic services like cleaning and dog walking. And while they are helping consumers they will be building a network of trusted local traders along the way.

- Recruiting and the on-going management of engineers to fulfil consumer's repair and maintenance needs

- First line support for consumers and engineers, arbitrating between the two where necessary

- Following up with both consumers and engineers to understand their experience of the service and make recommendations for how the service could be improved

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
For this role we need:
- Someone who can communicate with both consumer customers and engineers, liaising between the two, has empathy with both, and can translate their wants and needs in to action and insight
- An excellent organiser/administrator
- Someone who does not let items fall between the cracks and who takes personal responsibility for solving issues and managing tasks
- Commercial acumen
- Able to make judgement calls on how to prioritise work and ensure we get the biggest bang for the buck with contracts and commercial arrangements
- An analyser - who can make decisions and create insight based on detailed analysis of data
- Ability to work in a startup environment, comfortable with ambiguity, able to change direction at a moment's notice, and happy to work outside the box - turning a hand to whatever needs doing at the time
- Energy and motivation to simply get things done, working to ambitious timescales and overcoming obstacles with a can-do attitude to
