The Company:
Our client, a major international engineering & construction company, seeks expertise for projects in Atlantic Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
Responsibilities will include:

• Deliver commercial support in a safe, timely, and cost effective manner, in line with contractual requirements, to the satisfaction of clients.
• Commercial and contractual administration of client contracts to optimize financial return from projects.
• Provide commercial and contractual support to the business acquisition process for East Coast Canada.
• Responsible for the supply chain function, including procurement, expediting, material control, logistics, and subcontract administration.
• Ensure all applicable processes, management systems and appropriate organizational structures are in place and operate effectively.
• Monitor commercial team workload, resources, costs, and budgets.
• Foster good relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors at commercial and contractual level.
• Train and develop commercial teams and develop succession plans for key positions.
• Ensure retention and recruitment of competent and trained resources to deliver the service.
• Act honestly and fairly in accordance with client’s Code of Ethics and in support of client’s core values.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Graduation from a related post-secondary program; 10+ years of previous work experience. Experience within the oil and gas industry will be considered an asset.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Engineers must be Professional Engineers registered (or eligible for registration) with the Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador
