The Company:
Our Client is the largest LNG producing company in the world, with an annual LNG production capacity of 42 million tonnes per annum (MTA), safely and reliably delivering LNG to customers around the globe from world-class facilities in Qatar.

The Role:
Basic Function and Scope: Responsible for commercial, economics and optimization activities. Duties include ensuring shareholder's business and strategies can be incorporated into design and can be effectively communicated during decision gates. Negotiates commercial agreements with internal and external stakeholders.

Tasks and Duties: Primary duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Acts as Commercial Manager in development of commercial agreements for sales, facilities sharing, utility supply, and other commercial interfaces required for contractual support to the projects developed by the Group.
Provides optimization and commercial analysis support to the projects developed by the Group.
Performs economical optimization of short-term and long-term venture wide operations consistent with logistics and facility constraints.
Reviews contractor’s Linear Program models, economic assumptions and work processes.
Analyze design improvements and perform economic evaluations.
Supports overall Venture Management Team in daily business of the Group to ensure efficiency in performance of the Group.
Monitors project key issues and develops final disposition within a timely manner.
Ensures adherence to corporate policies & procedures, in all aspects of the business with Qatari laws and all other laws as required.
Prepares in cooperation, with Legal Department, confidentiality agreements to be signed with customers to the client and its shareholders.
Ensures the confidentiality and security of all commercial agreements and analysis.
Leads commercial discussions and negotiate Sale and Purchase Agreements for the products produced by the refinery, as well as set of commercial agreements for purchase of feedstock, utilities and services.
Ensures optimised commercial structure is arranged for the growing refinery business, which includes determination of the optimised business structure and development of the related commercial agreements.
Provides support in daily activities efficiently and in adherence to the existing contracts and procedures.
Supports Company Safety, Environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in Management system documentation, policies, procedures, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.

Work Contacts: Frequent contacts with the Group’s project management team members and shareholders for information sharing, updates, problem solving and feedback. Contacts with clients Legal Department to discuss contractual issues, as well as clients Finance Department for payment issues and adherence to accounting procedures.

Financial Dimensions: Performs within approved Operating Budget with delegation under the table of Financial Authorities.

Operating Environment: Operates in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment that requires a high level of technical knowledge, experience, sensitivity and maturity. Has a degree of freedom in the execution of his function, with events and activities driving performance.

Problem Solving and & Job Complexity:Dealing with demanding clients, tough competitors and competition conditions in a multinational, multicultural environment and providing sound advice and correct data and information to Company executive for proper decision making. Decisions and recommendations have major impact on the Group’s performance efficiency.

Works within established procedures, policies and principles. Work requires a high degree of conceptual, analytical, interpretative and constructive thinking, with a significant degree of evaluative judgment.

Addresses more complex discipline specific and multi-discipline related problems and issues.

Dealing in a multinational, multicultural environment and providing sound advice and correct data and information to Company executive for proper decision making. Decisions and recommendations have major impact on the Group’s performance, as well as efficiency and profitability of its projects.

Prepares analyses and recommendations that can have a significant financial benefit or loss to the Company. Major plans, expenditures and work accomplishments are reviewed.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements: A degree in Economics, Engineering or Business Administration from an internationally recognized university. Advanced Business degree preferred.
15 years experience in oil and gas:
I. minimum 3 years in negotiation, analysis and/or maintenance of commercial agreements, particularly relating to the technical definition supporting these negotiations;
ii. Minimum 12 years direct Project Execution experience, proven background in project management principles.

c. High proficiency in written and spoken English.
d. Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
e. Demonstrates ability to influence and promote change.
f. Demonstrates ability to think and plan strategically.
g. Able to work well with people from a variety of national backgrounds and cultures.
h. Computer literacy, using computer and database systems. Primarily MS products: Office, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
