COMMERCIAL MANAGER

The Role:
As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager to join the Engineering and Consultancy team within our Transmission and Distribution business.

Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Manager:

• Work closely with the Consultancy Services Manager
• Develop the commercial control for the Engineering and Consultancy team as more clients and varying contract types are secured
• Ensure delivery meets the client needs and look for opportunities to enhance the level of delivery from the frameworks. This will include:
o Identification of improvements/ modifications needed for better delivery with existing clients or to meet new client needs identified
o Develop staff to ensure appropriate data recording and data control to ensure efficient and accurate commercial control across the team
o Identify training and development needs to support growth plans and opportunities identified
o Identify strategic resourcing needs to exploit potential new work
• Accurate and timely invoicing
• Monthly commercial reporting
• Manager improvements identified and any short comings in delivery
• Production of monthly reporting internally and externally

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experienced in managing commercial issues on multiple contracts
• Understanding of modern contracts including NEC and FIDIC
• Experience in tendering process
• Experience working in small and agile team.
• Proven track record of delivering to meet client requirements
• Understand the importance of good customer focus and experience of developing strategies and solutions that meet or exceed customer’s needs
• Ability to support and lead the continuous improvement of performance to achieve excellence
