The Company:
Our client specialises in the design, manufacture, assembly, test, installation and commissioning of bespoke solutions for the nuclear industry.

The Role:
• The Commercial Manager will be involved in the Management of Commercial Team across allocated area
• Liaising with Commercial Team, developing and improving working relationship
• Client facing role and the main commercial point of contact for the project
• Attendance at Risk Reduction Meetings
• Attendance at Progress Meetings
• The Commercial Manager will involved in the Attendance at Internal/External Commercial and Project Meetings
• Ensuring Commercial Team follow Contract Procedures correctly
• Work closely with the Procurement manager to ensure all sub-contracts are placed in accordance with the contract and are appropriately established for effective delivery.
• The Commercial Manager will Provide assurance that the contractual requirements are being provided
• Oversee the payment application process and coordinate any Client queries
• As Key client contact seek resolution of any issues escalated up from the respective commercial staff on the Project
• The Commercial Manager will be Identifying improvements to commercial team practices.
• Ensure that all practices and procedures within the Commercial Team is aimed at reducing risk and maximising opportunity
• Ensure that Customer Commercial also follow contract procedure correctly and protect our rights under the contract
• The Commercial Manager will Establish Employer, Contractor and Sub-contractor metrics to monitor/control contractual adherence in key areas

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• The Commercial Manager will have Ideally 10 or more years experience in commercial management within engineering companies for the Nuclear, petrochemical, transport, aerospace or similar industries.
• Clear understanding and experience with various contracting types, especially NEC3
• Commercial or relevant degree.
