Currently looking for a Ready For Operations Site Lead.

2 positions available: Muskrat Falls and Soldier Pond Site

The Role:
As a RFO Site Lead will be providing commissioning and Ready for Operations leadership and direction throughout the site. Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

Ensure readiness for operations aspects of the project
Interface extensively with the various members of the Project Delivery Teams and ready for integration and building team.
Responsible for overseeing:
• HVAC switchyards including Gas Insulated Switchgear.
• HVDC switchyards and converters.
• Synchronous Condensers.
• Over Land transmission lines.
• Sub Sea cables.
• Turbine Generators.
• Protection & Control Schemes
• MV & LV Distribution Networks.
• Essential Generation.
• UPS and Battery Systems.
• Building Services.

As a RFO Site Lead your main duties will include:

Take leadership for site execution of the Turnover to operations processes and procedures.
Participate in the development of mechanical completion and handover processes and procedure.
Participate in the review of the static and dynamic commissioning, grid energisation, system integration testing, and performance testing procedures.
Work with and provide support to Transition to Operations RFI and BTPO teams.
Participate in the development of a TTO emergency response plan and specific health and safety procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant work experience:

•10 to 15 years successful completion / commissioning experience in delivery of major projects, in technical, project management and commissioning leadership roles.
• Experience in the guidance and leadership of multiple site teams on a multi-billion dollar project as a Commissioning Lead.
• Experience in developing and implementing processes and procedures to provide oversight and surveillance of EPC contracts.
• Experience of isolated electrical grid systems is an advantage.
• Possess an excellent and demonstrated safety and environmental record.
• Must be willing to move to Labrador site if and when required to do so.
