The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
Principal Tasks:

- Perform and support precommissioning, commissioning and start-up activities of JPM E&T Thickener corresponding lines and pumps and other Tailings and Infrastructure projects mainly comprised from Modular Pump Houses, E-Houses and tailings fluids transfer pipelines.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:

- 3rd Class Stem ticket and/or Interprovincial Electrical or Instrumentation licence.

External Safety Training Prequisites:

- CSTS/OSSA / H2S alive / Confined Space / Fall Arrest Training / Permit to Work

Skills and Experience Required:

- Commissioning and Start up Experience in Oil and Gas, Chemical or Pulp and Paper Industry required.
- Preferred previous experience in Oil Sands start-ups of Extraction and Tailings facilities and Pilot Plants.
- This position requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lead other trades in commissioning and start-up affords within multidisciplinary teams and tight schedules.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Operational experience in Oil Sands Industry
- Allen Bradley ControlLogix platform, Honeywell Experion PKS or Foxboro I/A Series with Mesh Network troubleshooting skill
- Previous permitting issuing and coordination experience
