The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Commissioning Electrical Engineer to be the focal point for all issues concerning the Emergency, Small Power, LV&HV Distribution, Cathodic protection systems and equipment during the onshore construction/commissioning phase and startup, through handover to Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES
• Provide HSE Leadership and work with the contractor & Client team to deliver fully on Clients expectations on HSE.
• Attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT’s) on behalf of Client
• Review and comment on Engineering contractors AFD documents, provide commissioning perspective to Design.
• Review of Engineering Contractors AFC design documents.
• Participation in Electrical systems Hazops, Safops, as required.
• Specifying and raising Purchase Orders for required Electrical Safety equipment and Electrical Test Equipment.
• Attending project meetings as required.
• Acting as the Senior Authorised Electrical Person (SAEP) following assessment and approval by Electrical Technical Authority
• Assessing and approving Authorised Electrical Persons (AEP), Authorised Instrument Persons (AIP) and Competent Isolators (CI)
• Reviewing and approving switching programmes for complex reconfigurations of the HV Electrical system.
• Approving isolation processes for HV systems.
• Providing engineering assistance to the construction contractor for resolution of electrical issues, etc.
• Witnessing and approving site acceptance tests.
• Review and acceptance of contractor supplied procedures and activities for installation of all Electrical equipment at onshore and offshore locations.
• Responsible for the compilation of relevant Commissioning Test Procedures (CTP) for the Electrical Power, Distribution and Generation systems.
• Responsible for the execution of all relevant work-scopes detailed within the CTP’s.
• Responsible for the safety & management of all Suppliers’ representatives when on-site / offshore for the commissioning works of subsequent items of equipment.
• Compilation of all necessary reports as/when required.
• Ensuring all Electrical commissioning personnel carryout their work and are fully trained in accordance with site PTW procedures
• Encourage development of Azerbaijani National personnel
• Provide advice, coaching and training of Azerbaijani National personnel
• Act as an Area Authority within Clients Permit To Work Procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Compex trained with a valid certificate
• Minimum of 10 years experience in similar roles in the oil and gas industry
• You will be an experienced discipline engineer who demonstrates good communication and team ethos skills and have significant experience of working on the commissioning of a major Project within the oil and gas industry
