The Company:
A multi-national Oil and Gas Operator involved in a World Class Development being fabricated in Korea.

The Role:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term role for an experienced Commissioning Engineer Instrument to be part of a World Class Development.
The role will be based in Goyheon, Geoje Island on an Expat basis (Visa Sponsorship Available) and will report to the Reporting to Commissioning Manager for this World Class Project
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• As team member of Instrument System commissioning contribute to deliver the project according to plan and cost without any HSE deviations to project goals.
• Commissioning preparation, planning, execution and handover platform to Project operations
• The Instrument commissioning engineer shall execute all commissioning activities, including planning, preparation, execution and hand over to Operation/Plant Integrity related to Instrument Systems.
• Establish and maintain safe working routines during execution of commissioning to ensure that all work performed is made in full compliance with Statoil’s safety regulation to maintain Statoil’s objectives of zero incidents, injuries and losses.
• Participate during establishment of a commissioning team with competence and capacity to perform commissioning on Instrument systems
• Producing – writing commissioning procedures • Issue and maintain commissioning boundary documentation for efficient construction and commissioning schedules
• Commissioning activities during the entire phase to enable a safe and efficient start-up execution.
• Experience transfer from/to other relevant projects and towards the base organisation.
• Identify and follow up risks and opportunities related to commissioning.
• Evaluate and verify all procedures and work instructions used during commissioning and ensure that those are well understood by relevant personnel.
• Assessment of provisions for commissioning in design.
• Ensure and maintain a close and good relationship to contractor and operation.
• Execute and supervise the performance of commissioning activities.
• Participating in development of strategies, budget, plans/schedules, procedures, routines, ATS requirements, FAT, UFAT, RISK, STEP and work processes for commissioning.
• Execute commissioning according to Statoil governing documents
• Identify and propose needed temporaries for commissioning execution
• Recommend commissioning SPIR
• Define commissioning scope where engineering activities are needed
• Participates in weekly commissioning meetings and submits status reports or as per agreement
• Participates in bi-weekly field commissioning meetings or as per agreement
• Participate in relevant engineering and construction meetings to obtain and ensure commissioning task execution.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
This instrument engineer must have good knowledge of the field istrument The experience, qualifications and abilities required for this position are as follows:
• Engineering degree or equivalent within Instrumentation
• Minimum 5 year’s experience within Instrument Systems from oil and gas projects or other relevant experience including field competence.
• Extensive knowledge of Statoil’s governing documentation.
• Well-developed teambuilding, co operational- and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle responsibility and periodically high work load.
• Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel
