The Company:
Our client has been engaged in the exploration and production of natural gas in the Netherlands and the North Sea Continental Shelf since 1964. In the Dutch sector of the North Sea, gas is produced from 22 platforms and 3 subsea production installations. Most of the platforms are unmanned and remotely operated; four have gas treatment facilities.

The Role:
Purpose of the Commissioning Engineer:
- FOD commissioning engineer represents FOD and contributes ECD in Pre-commissioning till ready for commissioning
- Manage activities from Ready for Commissioning status to Ready for Start-up status.
- To head and coordinate the pre-commissioning team & commissioning team, including operational staff and leaders in each relevant discipline.
- FOD commissioning will prepare the commissioning activities for main campaigns for FOD-PS/MS in all phases
- Minimize the production losses associated to the commissioning activities and ensure a safe start up

Tasks:
• To develop a strategy in order to maximize onshore commissioning and minimize lost time due to interfaces.
• Preparing or contributing to the preparation of documents, including the preliminary Start-up sequence, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up philosophy, Completion and transfer principles, as well as a preliminary list of subsystems and operating tests.
• Participating in identifying the projects critical pathways and specific risks.
• Contributing to defining the project organization, mobilization plans and associated budgets..
• To promote safety within the commissioning activities and verifies that safety procedures are implemented by commissioning team.
• Participating in preparing calls for tender and bid evaluations tables and criteria, as well as drafting contract exhibits.
• Preparing and taking part in PTR (project technical reviews).
• Take part in equipment control and factory acceptance tests.
• To control the pre-commissioning status and give approval for system handover to commissioning (RFC)
• To contribute to the smooth and effective handover between the projects and operations.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the hand-over from project to field operations of systems/projects
• Responsible for the commissioning and start up of the modifications
• Responsible for the commissioning start-up budget
• Responsible for the feed back/ lesson learned of the modifications

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Generalist or E&I engineer
• BSc in Instrumentation & Process Control, or equivalent
• An engineer with 6 to 8 years experience in the petroleum industry ,with strong affection to start-up and commissioning
• Pro-active with good organisational skills, team spirit and strong communication skills
• English language is mandatory, both spoken & written
