The Role:
Commissioning Engineer - Electrical Enquest Project based at Craigshaw.

Commissioning Engineering Support to the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of the new 30MW Power Generator on the Thistle Platform

•1) Install one new 30MW GE LM2500 +unit. This will provide the primary source power and will be a dual fuel unit running on fuel gas as the principal source with a secondary diesel source.

•2) Refurbish the existing B Turbine.

•3) Implement upgrades to the Electrical distribution system as follows:

•a) Upgrade Power Management System

•b) Replace 4.16 KV Switchboard

Interfacing with:

Wood Group PSN Discipline Engineers, Offshore Operations and Construction personnel, EnQuest Commissiong teamj lead and 3rd Party Verification ICP.

Functional Manager/Discipline Head: WGPSN Head of Construction / Commissioning Teams.

Line Manager: Thistle Power Upgrade Project Manager

Main Duties:
◦(a) Implementation of the agreed offshore commissioning strategy.

◦(b) Provide commissioning guidance to OCS's as and where required.

◦(c) Provide accurate and timely weekly progress reports

◦(d) Implementation of offshore commissioning activities.

◦(e) Co-ordination, allocation, monitoring and reporting of onshore and offshore commissioning resources to meet plan.

◦(f) Provide guidance, development, coaching and support of all offshore construction personnel assigned to the Thistle Power Upgrade Project.

Completion of Commissioning Check Sheets and dossiers to enable seamless handover of equipment to Operations

Health and Safety Responsibilities:
◦(a) Familiarise themselves with the Company Health & Safety Policy and take all reasonable care to ensure the health and safety of themselves and persons likely to be affected by their acts or omissions as required under local Health & Safety legislation.◦(b) Promote safety culture within project team and all 3rd Party personnel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education & Qualifications:
Industry recognised qualifications (preferred) with a training background representative of the development of knowledge and skills over time.

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Electrical apprenticeship with proven record work experience over time specific to commissioning of plant and equipment.

Project Specific:
Team Player

Self Starter with ability to work under own initiative

Willingness to share knowledge.

Ability to lead offshore commissioning team.

Experienced Commissioning Engineer with proven background in the development, management and implementation of commissioning tasks in accordance with in-house and or 3rd Party processes and procedures.

A comprehensive understanding of offshore control systems and their function and operating parameters.

Ability to schedule, manage / coordinate 3rd Party Inspection personnel.

At the completion of each project ability to carry-out final review
