The Company:

The group consists of 3 divisions being Engineering and Production Facilities, Well Support and Gas Turbine Services.

The Role:
Senior Commissioning Enginer Instrument Electrical: To carry out the successful commissioning of new/modified facilities in a safe and effective manner, such that the new/modified facilities can be handed over to operation as "fit for service".

Main Duties:

◦§ Liaising and co-ordinating with other disciplines and project engineers on specific projects to ensure deliverables are produced to meet deadlines.
◦§ Generation of commissioning procedures for specific projects/modifications.
◦§ Witnessing site acceptance tests.
◦§ On site (onshore and offshore) commissioning of the new/modified facilities.
◦§ Generation of commissioning completion dossiers and procedures.
◦§ Ensuring the timely handover to the operations of fully commissioned plant.
◦§ Co-ordinate the carrying out of modifications/repairs arising during commissioning activities.
◦§ Mentoring young engineers in development of commissioning skills.
◦§ Develop good working relationships with onshore & offshore operations personnel.
◦§ Ensuring compliance of all activities with the company's Health, Safety Environmental and Quality policies.
◦§ Promoting safe behaviour at all times.
◦§ Role involves face to face Client liaison over complete design period.
◦§ Coordination of all commissioning activities, management and planning of complete commissioning of projects.
◦§ Role involves work in design office at Dyce, Aberdeen with onshore / offshore site work which approximately accounts for 20% of work.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant experience; preferably in the offshore oil & gas industry.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of control and instrumentation system design and analysis.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of offshore and onshore control and instrumentation systems and legislative requirements.

Familiar with software used for control and instrumentation system design and analysis.

Ability to focus on customer requirements.

Proficient in Windows applications i.e. Word and Excel
