The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
Key Responsibilities and duties:

• To configure, test and commission all or part of the integrated control systems.
• To comply with company practices and procedures (IEC 61508/IEC 61511).
• To understand, document and advise on customer requirements.
• To identify scope changes and to assist in detailing the impact of such changes in terms of cost and schedule.
• Complete site commissioning activities as per project SAT specification (Site Acceptance Test).
• To develop and improve standards and procedures to saves costs or time.
• To work as a valued member of a project team in the execution of the project during the complete project lifecycle

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
• Full driving licence.
• Offshore Medical and Survival.
• Confident and capable of leading an installation/commissioning team.
• Able to work under own supervision as necessary.
• Willing to travel internationally, and work at customer construction sites.
• Capable of achieving successful project completion to customer satisfaction.
• Complete projects on time as per project schedules.
• Able to communicate at all levels within the team both verbally and in writing.
• Positive and creative approach to problem solving.
• Innovative and results driven.
• Decisive, willing and able to render judgement and take action both personally and on behalf of the company.
• Culturally aware and demonstrates ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• Proven experience in the configuration, testing and commissioning of integrated control systems in the oil and gas or pharmaceutical industries

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience with 800xA systems and AMPL would be advantageous but not essential since training is provided
