The Role:

Targets and Mission:

-Assure the commissioning of the installation and the entire process (mechanical, electrical, automation) as well as the respect of the schedule and the budget.
-Manage the site commissioning team
-Supervise and make the tests, calibrations, settings and the customer training
-Communication with the PM and the customer

Tasks Description and Responsibilities:

• Understand and review technical documents related to the project and to commissioning: layout, equipment list, P&ID, calculations, time chart contract, scope of supply, schedule and budget, customer contacts
• Conduct and Supervise the commissioning activities:
- Mechanical Completion Inspection
- I/O Testing
- Instrument Setup and Calibration
- Line Flushing/Passivation
- Water Testing
- Product Testing/Production Validation
• Meeting with PM and Process team
• Preparation of Commissioning Plan, including risk and safety assessments
• Understand the process and the installation, prepare the commissioning
• Fill and follow up the commissioning management check list.
• Make a proper handover with the mechanical supervisor if needed.
• Launch the kick off meeting of the commissioning with the customer on site or with the site manager if he’s handling the entire project.
• Confirm with the customer the scopes limits, our needs for commissioning such as power, compressed air, raw material, chemicals, etc.
• Establish, fill and complete all the compulsory documents like fire permits, risk assessments, and special administrative and customer documents
• Plan and drive the weekly meetings with the customer
• Issue Commissioning Progress reports (internal and external)
• Follow the schedule of the commissioning; give a clear view to the PM, progress, status, issues, missing parts, etc
• Prepare and issue the reports weekly meeting to customer: schedule status, working report, punch list follow up, deviation follow up, scope variations, etc
• Insure the workers are skilled enough to complete their activities
• Organise and assign work to the site teams, check every day if the works are correct and complete and properly done
• Report the issue to the subcontractor or to the customer if he supplies the team
• Sign the acceptance certificate; clear the punch list before leaving
• Ensure adequate training is provided to the customer
• Provide As – Built documentation to TS&S Team

• Responsible of the good commissioning and the quality of the work
• Responsible of the commissioning schedule and the budget
• Responsible of the communication with the customer on site
• Responsible of the communication with the site team and its management.
• Assure the good communication with our electrical, mechanical team,
• Responsible of the process flow sheet alignment with the process on site
• Ensure the process readiness for the production start
• Responsible of the site review with the customer and the punch list
• Responsible of the preparation of commissioning documents and storing the records
• Responsible of the acceptance certificate signature by the customer before leaving

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree/Diploma in Chemical, Process, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Alternatively, highly experienced individuals without formal qualification may also be considered.
• Understanding of liquid processing
• Food and Beverage industry experience is advantageous
• Minimum 5 years experience in Commissioning
• Good engineering track record to meet project requirements and customer satisfaction
• Travelling frequently to manage projects in Vietnam and potentially other South East Asian countries
• Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment
• PLC Programming Experience Advantageous
• Good knowledge of PCs and commonly used MS Office software (Microsoft Project, Excel, Word)
