The Role:
Based at Theddlethorpe Gas Terminal.

The incumbent will be a member of an integrated commissioning team and will be responsible for ensuring the implementation execution and integrity of commissioning systems with emphasis on the instrument and control discipline throughout the Commissioning process, and will participate in the development and preparation of the project completion systems, documentation and procedures. Based at the TGT site for dynamic commissioning execution and final handover to Operations

Participation in and verification of establishing the computerised Completion Management System by developing the subsystem breakdown and population of the Mechanical Completion and Commissioning Data bases with the required contract engineering information by Subsystem.
During the Construction phase he/she will monitor and verify the execution of Mechanical Completion whilst validating and accepting MC / Precommissioned Subsystems, Systems and punch lists following on with the execution of dynamic System Commissioning, Commissioning and assist Operations during start up.
Primary Functions:

- Assist Completions Manager in preparation of Mechanical Completion and Commissioning Manuals, Strategies, Philosophies and Commissioning networks

- Participation and verification of content and allocation of Mechanical Completion and Precommissioning Check Records

- Preparation of System Commissioning Procedures

- Monitor and verify Completions process including Mechanical Completion/Commissioning data base, documentation, reporting and system integrity

- Verification and acceptance of MC / Precommissioned Subsystems, Systems and punch lists

- Execution of Dynamic Commissioning and start up

- Ensure that the instrument & control content in the Commissioning System dossiers are progressively and fully populated for handover. Work with Operations to ensure seamless handover with Commissioning dossiers

- Develop, maintain and issue weekly instrument & control completion reports

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge, understanding and work history in Greenfield & Brownfield Commissioning preparation, implementation and execution.
- Thorough understanding of PTW systems
- Understanding in Commissioning Completion Management Systems and handover particularly major oil and gas facilities.
- Min 15 years oil and gas background
- Ability to build a strong relationship with key fabricator personnel.
- Strong communications and networking skills.
- Highly developed influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic with a questioning and challenging attitude.
- Planning and organisation competency.
- Ability to make rational decisions when under pressure.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience of completion contracts and working as part of a managerial team.
- Experience of the needs of other Disciplines and how these link to the Mechanical Completion and Commissioning activities, particularly: Piping, EIT, Mechanical, Metering etc.
- Knowledge of Document Management Systems as they apply to Projects.
- A willingness to listen to others and incorporate best practice.
