The Company:
An international EPC Company involved in LNG and Mining Projects.

The Role:
My EPCM client is currently looking for a Commissioning Instrument Supervisor to work on a FIFO roster of 20 / 10 to Barrow Island. FIFO from anywhere in Australia.


• The instruments supervisor may work on several different applications of Instrumentation and Control Systems, Field Instruments, Control Panels and Analysers etc.
• Assist the Instrument Superintendent in the preparation of Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Procedures and the gathering of documents.
• Prepare the System Commissioning files as per System Definition.
• Prepare the tools list and quantities of consumables necessary for Commissioning and Operation of the Buildings, Utilities, Off-sites, LNG Process Areas and Packages.
• Prepare, organize and conduct the Loop and Vendor UCP Packages testing as required.
• Prepare and update the completion dossiers as work is complete.
• Org anise test teams and establish priorities.
• Ensure that check and test sheets are properly filled-out and that company representatives sign-off.
• Establish and I or adhere to the follow-up of loop testing activity and clearing of punch lists
• Coordinate, direct and supervise the commissioning instrumentation per system and subsystem with respect to schedule and man-hours.
• Be responsible for the quality and quantity of the work performed by the assigned Instrument Technicians. Propose to the Instrument Superintendent any corrective action to meet the scheduled completion dates of the assigned systems.
• Ensure that proper documentation is available for his technicians.
• Liaise with the Discipline Superintendents, the Subcontractors and Vendor Representatives, as required to complete instrumentation related activities.
• Integrated to a Commissioning Team designated as per area, to support utility and process activities as part of the inter- discipline coordination.
• Must be able to do shift work.
• Reports to the Instrument Superintendent.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Good level of English Language, speaking, reading and writing.
• Computer literate, EXCEL, WORD.
• Good understanding of Instrumentation related drawings, P&lDs, Loop Diagrams, Functional Analyses, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Manual Tests, Measuring Equipment test Procedures, Control Narratives.
• Able to write and check work permits and understand their interfaces with other disciplines and electrical equipment.
• Familiar with safety procedures.
• Familiar with electrical energizing procedures of instrument and ICSS related equipment I control cabinets.
• Team working skills.
