The Role:
The role of the Commissioning Manager is to manage the successful commissioning team of Supervisors and Engineers to safely deliver a major project consisting of a new top-sides and jacket, as well as extensive sub-sea scope and Brownfield modifications on an existing facility.

• Ensuring compliance of all activities with the company's Health, Safety Environmental and Quality policies.
• Promoting safe behaviour at all times.
• Liaising and co-ordinating with other disciplines and project engineers on specific projects to ensure deliverables are produced to meet deadlines.
• Generation of commissioning procedures for specific projects/modifications.
• On site (onshore and offshore) commissioning of the new/modified facilities.
• Generation of commissioning completion dossiers.
• Co-ordinate the carrying out of modifications/repairs arising during commissioning activities.
• Mentoring young engineers in development of commissioning skills.
• Develop good working relationships with onshore & offshore operations personnel.
• Ensuring the timely handover to the operations of fully commissioned plant.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• It is expected that the successful candidate will have worked as the role of Commissioning Manager / Commissioning Supervisor on at least two major projects and have worked in the role of a Commissioning Engineers role for a number of years previous to that and should be able to demonstrate a clear track record on successful projects completed..
• They will have a thorough knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, Safety Reviews, Completions systems, Planning systems and shall be able to lead a large onshore and offshore commissioning team.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong process background and will therefore also be capable of taking a lead role in the start-up phase of the project.
• Appropriate degree (or equivalent)
• Current Offshore survival/medical certificates.
• Significant experience in similar roles; preferably in the offshore oil & gas industry.
• Supervisory, leadership and organisational skills.
• Good communicator with good interpersonal skills.
