Commissioning Manager - The Company:
Our clients Renewables Energy team is one of the largest UK operators of offshore wind generation assets and has a planned build program to add a further £3Bn worth of wind farm assets over the next few years.

The Role:
Commissioning Manager - Overview:
Our client requires a Commissioning Manager to work at their Head Office in Windsor, Berkshire. The post will support the Commissioning Package Manager in successfully delivering all offshore wind farm package activities, ensuring that the package is managed in such a way that value is maximised, our client’s reputation is protected, risks are mitigated, interfaces managed and the required project controls are in place.

The majority of our clients Renewables projects are offshore wind farms. The Commissioning manager will assist with a package from the beginning of the procurement process through to commissioning and handover to operations. The commissioning managers share the support services provided by HSE, public affairs, consents, commercial, engineering, construction, commissioning and project controls with the other package managers.

Commissioning Manager - The Role:
Assist in the management of the package schedule, progress, and expenditure against budget, to include management of the 3rd party contractors.
Assist with the Management and Coordination of the Commissioning and Senior Authorised Person Teams.
Assist in the management of package objectives and KPIs and promote an awareness of these within the package team to ensure that the success criteria of the package is well understood and accepted by the package team.
Build and safeguard relationships with key internal and external stakeholders ensuring they receive regular status reports.
Ensure health, safety and environment (HSE) performance through compliance with Centrica policy and legislation and application of industry best practice.
Ensure that interfaces between key packages/contractors have been identified and are managed appropriately.
Support the Package Manager to ensure that the package team is adequately and appropriately resourced and has the skills necessary for effective performance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Commissioning Manager - The Person:
Understanding and experience of the management of Commissioning and Senior Authorised Person Teams.
Understanding of project management tools and techniques.
Experience of managing and leading a team in a package environment.
Engineering degree or similar.
Understanding and experience of the energy industry from a technical and commercial perspective.
Understanding or familiarity with Operational Safety Rules.
