The Role:
A General Commissioning Superintendent is leading the site commissioning team,overseeing all aspects in relation to Commissioning and Start up.
The post holder is responsible for the preparation of the Commissioning and Start-Up activities and the deliverables.
The role of the Commissioning Shift Superintendent is to ensure that all work taking place at Ormen Lange plant is executed in the safest way possible.
That PtW process is followed according to the latest standards. All parties involved with the PtW process are aware of all safety requirements. Personel directly involved with the PtW process are fully competent to perform their job.

DIMENSIONS:
The post holder shall lead the execution of commissioning activities. He/she is expected to work in a supporting role to the Commissioning site manager in respect to all CSU activities. The post holder is expected to work for Nyhamna Expansion project and also support the permanent organization. In this role he or her is to coordinate between Company and Contractor in regards to PtW activities. The post holder will work with a small team of field operators.
ORGANISATION:
The post holder shall act as Commissioning Shift Superintendent, being responsible for the onsite execution of all Commissioning activities. Direct reporting lines will be to the Site Commissioning Manager and the Asset Production Supervisor.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensure that work under his control is carried out in accordance with HSE policy and procedures. Manage the Commissioning activities on the plant in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure Commissioning activities are optimized and in line with the schedule. Ensure that key parameters are closely followed. Ensure that eequipments monitoring is carried out according to procedure Monitor the execution of the commissioning tasks during his pr her rotation. Specify the precautions to be taken, verify the work permits and ensure that the preparations of equipment is carried out safely in accordance with work permit requirements. He/she have the authority of 1st Leader in the PtW process. Ensure that the policies, strategies, work permit, procedures and HSE standards for the Nyhamna Expansion project are being adhered to and assist in their development and improvement. Ensure routine rounds and procedures are executed as per project standard. Manage administration related to the rotation team, handover documentation and information tranfer.
SPECIAL CHALLENGES:
Ensure awareness for CSU activities with Detail Design Engineering Oversee the EPCm to deliver on time Project execution in Brownfield environment
EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
- 10 yrs Commissioning and Start Up experience and proven track record for managing commissioning in relevant oil and gas industry – recent major project experience. - Familiar with Detail Design Engineering deliverables - Experience in Brownfield projects - BSc degree or equivalent in technical discipline. - Communicative - Min. 5 -10 years relevant work experience with Permit to Work systems - Familiar with SAP, Demonstrable passion for and experience with HSE management
