The Company:

The Role:

• The post holder will be required to anticipate or identify problem areas or potential areas of conflict (within company or between company and contractor) and effect resolution.
• Ability to communicate with different Package representatives and ensure effective liaison between all parties.

• To ensure that Safety, Health, Environment Policy and Management System are adhered and that safe working practices are carried out at all times.
• To develop and prepare Subsea Commissioning Execution Plan, Operational Test Procedures, Start Up and SIMOP strategy to optimise Commissioning & Start Up activity
• Manage preparation of commissioning in respect with OPERCOM and all applicable specification: Task identifications, procedures, Requirement for Tools, vendors, equipments, manpower, etc and ensure that these resources will be mobilised on time.
• Manage interfaces with contractor through Contract Manager for all matter related to Commissioning during the life of the project.
• Identify resources provide by Contractor through “Assistance to commissioning” and enquire additional resources if required through Contract Manager
• Develop interface strategy between the Subsea package and onshore facility to ensure no conflicts & identify synergies/opportunities.
• Interface with Project Team to integrate Subsea Commissioning Schedule into Project Schedule
• Prepare Progress monitoring tools for Commissioning Preparation and Execution
• Identify and prepare all type of operational and organizational documents related to interfaces with other parties (both external and internal)
• Review of all PC&C documentation, procedures, engineering drawings, method statements, equipment, and proposed execution planning.
• Supervise and/or populate ICAPS data base for Subsea PC&C
• Review and/or approval of engineering documents and drawings produced by Contractors
• Prepare Operational Test for FO approval and identify resources requirements.
• Manage commissioning execution in a view to reach the targets with priorities in Safety, Quality and Schedule. Coordinate daily site activities with other parties.
• Mobilise and manage commissioning resources identified during Commissioning Preparation.
• Approve test record and supervise updating on ICAPS database accordingly.
• Ensure Commissioning Mark-up drawing are done on relevant drawing and documents
• Initiate and follow up clearance of Punch List, highlight technical problem encountered, and provide Technical and Cost efficient to speed up PL clearance.
• Witnessing Contractor Pre-commissioning activities and ensure that witnessing is made in a professional way.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications Experience required
• A level of expertise in specific discipline Subsea engineering.
• Understanding of all aspects of offshore oil and gas production operations with an established and proven track record as a Subsea Operations Engineer and Team Leader.
• Hands on experience on commissioning and/or operation of subsea equipment; Christmas trees and manifolds, plus their associated choke, instrument and valve components, and subsea control system equipment including topsides SCU, MCS and HPU systems.
• Experience in management of precommissioning and commissioning activities, including system/subsystem definition, writing of PC&C procedures, definition of PC&C sub-contract requirements and scope, definition of PC&C spares, materials and equipment requirements and specs, use of a PC&C progress tracking database, hands-on supervision of PC&C activities on site, management of a PC&C team of engineers and technicians.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Located within the project offices in Aberdeen until August 2013 and then rotational thereafter
• Travel may be required in order to fulfil role within the project.
• Experience of a major company’s PC&C methodology such as OPERCOM/ICAPS.
• Good knowledge of Subsea International codes.
• Relevant experience post graduation.
