The Company:
Our client is currently embarking on one of the largest domestic gas developments on the eastern seaboard on a project which represents around a $4 billion investment in Victoria’s energy future

The Role:
Our client is looking for a seasoned Commissioning Professional to join their Project on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia.

The role will be based in Melbourne for the Detailed Engineering phase, which is expected to run through to the end of 2013. From there the position will move to site in the Gipsland Region of Victoria for the execution stage through 2014.

The primary responsibilities for this role is to monitor and oversee an EPC Contractor in the execution of discipline specific systems completions activities, providing guidance, training, and overview as required to Contractor's systems completions organisation. A key focus area is discipline punch list item identification and resolution of these items. You will work with the Project Team and EPC Contractor to ensure all completions / commissioning mechanical work is executed safely and that project goals for safety are achieved, in addition to ensuring contract requirements for commissioning of equipment and systems are met and properly documented and a quality product is achieved.

The successful person will adopt the role of Lead Electrical contact during commissioning execution with the primary electrical scope including 11kV system with Brownfield tie-ins.
