Job Title: Commissioning Specialist
Job Location: Calgary
Residency: CDN

The Role:
Our client, a major oil & gas owner/operating company, requires a Commissioning Specialist for their oil sands mega-project, initially in Calgary and then at site near Fort McMurray.

** This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only **

In this role, the incumbent will ultimately ensure all completions/commissioning work is executed safely and that project goals for safety are achieved. They will also ensure contract requirements for the commissioning of equipment and systems are met and properly documented and a quality product is achieved.

Responsibilities:

• Consult with the Commissioning Manager as required on systems completion decisions.
• Utilize the ExxonMobil Completion Management System database for tracking, certification, and quality purposes.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Testing of major equipment as scheduled
• Ensure operations representatives receive proper training on all equipment in accordance with the requirements the Operability Management Plan
• Provide onsite leadership in ensuring safe execution of systems mechanical completion and commissioning
• Provide guidance and participate in activities concerning mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning and turnover of systems and equipment
• Provide assistance in the development of turnover and commissioning packages and commissioning procedures, and participate/lead functional and inspection checks
• Participate and provide input to Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Integration Tests plans and schedules.
• Lead and participate in systems completion acceptance processes
• Provide commissioning input for specific mechanical equipment safety and operability reviews
• Review equipment/ facility start up and operating manuals

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Engineering Management
• 15+ years of related project experience
• WinPCS experience
• Knowledge of ExxonMobil procedures and systems
