The Role:
COMMISSIONING SUPERINTENDENT – PERTH & BARROW ISLAND, WESTERN AUSTRALIA - $$ ATTRACTIVE – 2 TO 3 YEARS CONTRACT - LONG TERM PROJECT

The Commissioning Superintendent role will provide the highest level of expertise in the direction and operation of the Safety, fire, Environmental and Security departments during the commissioning, start-up and operation of a Facility, ensuring SIMOPS, Safety, Environmental and Security awareness. The role will see the successful individual based in Perth until early 2013 and then transfer on to Barrow Island thereafter.

The job:
• Developing department SIMOPS, Health, Safety, Environmental, Fire and Security plans and procedures
• Implementing and supervising work permit procedures and safety programmes for the Facility
• Take accountability for ensuring commissioning staff, sub-contractors and vendor personnel are fully aware of SIMOPS and HSE requirements during the commissioning phase.
• Ensuring effective monitoring and implementation of the project HSE Management system and supporting commissioning HSE plan
• Monitoring sub-contractors for compliance with both the project and contractor requirements
• Advising Commissioning Management of areas for improvement and assist in the development of implementation strategies.
• Monitoring and reporting Incident / Hazardous Reporting data
• Facilitate accident and incident investigation

Essential requirement(s) of this role:

• Excellent knowledge and experience with LNG Train SIMOPS and HSE Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning
