The Role:
The Commissioning Superintendent is responsible for commissioning preparation and execution both on the fabrication site and offshore in order to deliver an installation to company operations division on schedule and ready for safe operation.

Act as the focal point for commissioning technical and management control activities

The commissioning superintendent is responsible for implementation of a commissioning plan which will integrate project installations with existing project facilities with specific involvement in the following major contracts and activities;

•Jacket EPCI (Engineering / Procurement / Construction / Installation) contract,
•Topside EPCI (Engineering / Procurement / Construction / Installation) contract,
•Interfield Pipelines EPCI (Engineering / Procurement / Construction / Installation) contract,
•Modifications to the reception platform (Engineering / Procurement / Construction / Installation) contract,
•Provide guidance and leadership on all matters relating to mechanical completions, pre commissioning, commissioning and start up assistance for the project scopes of work,
•Liaise with the Operations Manager on a day to day basis providing feedback on contractors engineering performance in areas specific to pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up.
•Assist the Operation Managers with the IVB on operational issues indentified prior to start up ,
•Assist Project team with technical responses to Contractors Technical Queries, Derogations in relation to the hook up, commissioning and start up.
•To provide operational engineering support to engineering construction and commissioning teams until hand over to operations,
•Ensure interfaces with on / offshore entities are aligned for commissioning activities including test plans , procedures and equipment,
•Assist operations manager by attending SIT and FATs and participate in operational reviews when required.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Liaise with the Project Team, which is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of the project scope
•Provide the corresponding commissioning technical expertise for the project activities
•Control the commissioning technical aspects and performance of the main EPCI Contractors

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

•To develop a strategy in order to maximise onshore commissioning prior to offshore installation.
•To define , mobilise and manage an organisation which will prepare and execute the commissioning of project installations, integrating commissioning personnel with operations personnel and in liaison with EPCI contractor
•To supervise the preparation of the pre-commissioning and Commissioning procedures ensuring compliance with company and group rules (including use of company technical tools/databases) and UK legislation.
•Ensure appropriate verification work is integrated within the commissioning plans and is carried out as necessary prior to start up.
•To supervise the onshore pre-commissioning and commissioning and offshore commissioning work

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Knowledge of the concerned engineering disciplines:-
•Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping, Mechanical/rotating equipment
•Degree in one of the above disciplines (chartered engineer or equivalent)
•Significant commissioning and operational management experience (raising/reviewing procedures, specifications, technical reports and management of operational personnel,)
•Familiar with company Opercom/ICAPS methodology
•Appropriate industrial experience overall with successful site experience as a supervisor/ manager
