The Role:
The incumbent is responsible for supporting and coordinating aspects of Commissioning for the client and to interface with the client's Projects Commissioning. They will also be responsible for assisting in developing the necessary commissioning philosophies, procedures and controls to support and promote a timely and seamless facility transition to Operations.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Assist in the development of a Commissioning Policy up to facilities operational Turnover and of Commissioning Philosophies, Strategies and Manual.•Prepare the relevant commissioning procedures to support project specific Commissioning execution.•Monitor various testing of equipment & systems.•Monitor and report the quality assurance processes during Commissioning of the client's Project by Contractor.•Ensure that the EPC Contractor complies with the relevant engineering codes and standards, i.e. In-country, International and/or the client's engineering codes and standards.
•Ensure effective, global implementation of approved project commissioning methodologies.•Coordinate all relevant aspects of Project Commissioning with the Contractor.•Provide input to ensure an effective Commissioning interface with the the client's Project.•Ensure commissioning interface with other project groups, in particular with Procurement, Engineering, and Scheduling are maintained and effective.•Ensure a robust HSSE and Quality culture is undertaken on the project and on site in an appropriate professional manner.•Assist in the development and implementation of a Commissioning audit program pertinent to the EPC Contract for the Commissioning Project.•Assist in ensuring Contractor compliance with the project Commissioning requirements, plans, procedures and processes as per the EPC Contact.•Liaise with the Production Operations Group to ensure that at facility Start-Up there is a smooth transition of responsibility from the EPC Construction/Commissioning to PO.•Prepare summary reports for Commissioning.•Provide commissioning input into all aspects of the various sub project schedules and the integrated project schedule.• Build and maintain positive relations with key stakeholders.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Educated to tertiary level in an engineering discipline•Understanding of Commissioning programs, methodologies and systems•Fluent English language skills - both verbal and written
•Ability to actively interface between Engineering, Quality and Scheduling from a commissioning perspective•Ability to function in an organisation with multiple ongoing Projects•Ability to functionally manage multiple interfaces•Effective communication and negotiation skills with the ability to understand other stakeholders objectives•Experienced in solving complex problems • Effective decision making skills•Strong relationship management skills•Ability to demonstrate flexibility and innovation to achieve objectives• Knowledge of pre-commissioning and commissioning methodologies as applied in the Oil and Gas sector •Experience in applying and maintaining Commissioning Management Systems used to pre define and execute the entire completions verification scope
