The Company:
Our client is a major oil and gas company within Australia and is the largest producer of gas to the domestic market within the country. Active for more than 40 years, they have the largest exploration portfolio by area and are currently listed as one of Australia's Top 30 Companies.

The Role:
A Commissioning Supervisor is required for s residential assignment to be based in Gladstone on a contract basis for 18 to 24 months.

Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, the Commissioning Supervisor will be responsible for establishing the Commissioning and Start-Up team built up in stages from the operating pool to perform reviews, assessments and inspections of commissioning and start-up activities performed by the contractor within the designated area. Ensuring all ITP and field installation check list points are witnessed as specified and signed off, including all HOLD points, you will complete Punch-listing activities to assure the work within the area and ensure all systems and the Facility is ready for start-up.

Using your experience of managing large EPC contractors, you will monitor that the contractor implementation of as built documents adequately allows the operator to safely run the OSBL plant after practical completion and ensure the contractor has adequately trained the workforce in preparation for start-up.

Specific duties will include:

o Contractor Compliance to pre-com & com procedures & specifications
o Witnessing of critical pre-com procedures by contractor
o Contractor Compliance to pre-com to Com handover/acceptance procedures
o Review of Commissioning Dossiers prepared by Contractor
o Witness of critical operational Tests performed by Contractor
o Company verification of critical protection systems
o Compliance of Contractor to Process Safety KPI’s
o Regulatory compliance of contractor during SIMOPs
o Preparation of Companies monthly/weekly Commissioning report

You will also assume responsibility for HSE performance within the commissioning areas and ensure the Contractor is meeting the contracted obligations within the agreement.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified you will have relevant operational experience, either gas plant, refinery, or LNG Plant, and substantial experience in the commissioning / start-up of large construction projects, specifically, LNG Plants or Oil & Gas or Chemical Refinery complexes or Gas Plants.
