The Role:
Project:
The Project is a project that will install a modularised booster compression unit adjacent to and interfacing with the platform creating lower flowing wellhead conditions and maximising production over the remaining life of the field. The project is in Execution, and will be onstream by Q3 2013.

Purpose:
• Work as a Commissioning Team Leader to assist the Commissioning manager with the mutli discipline delivery of commissioning at the fabrication yard and then assist commissioning and start-up of the LTC.
• Help to ensure alignment between the contractor and project management team throughout commissioning and start-up.
• This is a multi discipline role to ensure all disciplines are ready to start commissioning as soon as possible to ensure a safe early delivery of the LTC module, it is expected that the role also involves leading the multi discipline commissioning team on site both onshore and offshore.

Accountabilities and End Results:
Commissioning Team leader to work with the Commissioning Manager to develop and then deliver the LTC commissioning workscope which meets the business needs and are in compliance with internal and external standards/ codes/ regulatory requirements and HSE policies and goals. This role will be instrumental in ensuring successful commissioning of the module both onshore and offshore.
Primary Functions:
- Work as a Commissioning Team Leader in the design office, module fabrication site, vendor works and offshore.
- Assist the Commissioning Manager as required.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL assessments etc.
- Develop, job card, plan and resource all Commissioning activities.
- Lead a multi discipline team of commissioning engineers and technicians
- Essential:
- experience of commissioning within offshore oil and gas industry.
- Excellent Oil and Gas engineering Multi-Discipline Knowledge
- Highly motivated, proactive problem-solving individual with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commercial and contractual awareness
- Able to take a lead and show initiative.
- Current offshore survival and medical.

Desirable
- Ability to communicate technically complex / novel concepts to non specialists
- Able to represent Commissioning discipline internally and externally on technical issues

Organisational Fit:
This position supports all aspects of the LTC Commissioning and day-to-day reporting is to the Commissioning Manager, in the Commissioning Managers absence the position reports to the LTC Engineering & Commissioning Manager.
Challenges:
Contributing to a potentially novel packaging and delivery design in a high pressure environment ensuring that the design and construction contractor maintains schedule and produces deliverables to allow commissioning in a timely manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The position is initially Aberdeen based but will require attendance at the Module fabricators, Vendor Premises and Offshore.
